For this year’s celebrations, The Embassy of Ireland, Rabat is organising its inaugural Bloomsday performance in partnership with the HIBA Foundation on the evening of 26 June at 18:30. It will take place at the Foundation’s cultural centre in central Rabat.
After introductory remarks by the Ambassador, Moroccan actress Sophia Hadi will perform extracts of Ulysses, mostly in French but some in Arabic and English.
Immediately after the reading, a screening of the documentary “Ulysees at 100” will take place, to be followed by the Ambassador’s Reception with drinks and finger food offered to audience members in the café above the cinema.
